Nearly 200 Vietnamese and foreigner golfers, including government officials, politicians, diplomatic and businesspeople will be participating in Swing for Smiles 2005 - an annual charity golf tournament held at the Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club (Hai Duong Province) whose mission is to raises funds to help underprivileged Vietnamese children born with facial deformities. The patron and Honorary Chairman of Swing for Smiles 2005 is former Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister, H.E Nguyen Manh Cam.
Swing for Smiles 2005 is being co-organized by Mr. Pham Kim Hung, Managing Partner of Pham & Partners and his friends at the behest of the honourable Mr. Nguyen Manh Cam. The aim of the tournament is to raise funds to provide free surgeries to underprivileged Vietnamese children born with facial deformities through the support of our beneficiary, Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a non-profit organization that has been helping children with such deformities in Vietnam since 1989
Each golfer who plays Swing for Smiles 2005 will sponsor one surgery and put the smiles back on at least one young face, providing new hope of a bright future. Teeing off on August 27, 2005, nearly 200 amateur golfers are expected at Swing for Smiles 2005.
Swing for Smiles was recognized as traditional charity golf event for golfer community in Hanoi, Vietnam.
